A Faith Centered Celebration Filled with Style and Meaning | Dominique & Kendall
On March 20, 2026, Dominique and Kendall gathered family and friends at The Lumen House in Cleveland, North Carolina for a wedding day that blended modern design, heartfelt faith, and artistic details. Set against the venue’s striking white ceremony arch and expansive natural landscape, every element felt intentional and deeply personal.
From the moment guests arrived, rich chocolate tones, soft florals, and meaningful moments created an atmosphere that felt both elevated and welcoming. With planning support from House Of Matrimonies, the day unfolded with ease, allowing the couple to focus on what mattered most.
A Ceremony Rooted in Faith
For Dominique and Kendall, honoring their faith was central to their wedding day.
“We have both grown up in Christian households and wanted to make sure we honored God in every aspect during the wedding day. It is only because of God that we met each other and have had the pleasure and opportunity to be joined in marriage.”
The outdoor ceremony at The Lumen House beautifully reflected those values. Surrounded by loved ones and framed by the venue’s architectural ceremony backdrop, the couple exchanged vows in a setting that felt peaceful and meaningful.
One of Dominique’s favorite memories came from sharing their vows publicly.
“Sharing our vows with one another. We share our hearts sentiments to each other behind closed doors consistently, but in public it brings about another emotion you can’t comprehend, especially when it is your I DO.”
Fashion Forward Wedding Style
Dominique’s gown from J. Major’s brought together classic bridal elegance and modern structure. The fitted corset bodice paired with a voluminous skirt created a striking silhouette, while her lace edged veil added softness and movement.
Kendall complemented her look in a rich chocolate brown tuxedo featuring dramatic shawl lapels and a coordinating bow tie. The fashion choices felt fresh and sophisticated while perfectly matching the wedding’s organic color palette.
Together, their portraits carried an editorial quality that felt right at home against the natural backdrop of The Lumen House.
Artistic Florals and a Rich Color Palette
One of the standout design elements was the bouquet. Layers of lavender orchids, blush anthuriums, soft pink lilies, and flowing chocolate ribbons created a sculptural arrangement that felt artistic and unexpected.
The wedding party palette added depth throughout the day. Bridesmaids wore a mix of emerald, blush, burgundy, and soft sage gowns while groomsmen wore neutral tan suits that balanced the darker tones of Kendall’s attire.
These thoughtful color combinations created a modern organic aesthetic that felt both bold and refined.
A Planner Who Felt Like Family
When asked about their favorite vendor experience, the answer came easily.
“Our wedding planner Brittney Dolan! She helped guide us from day one. She supported us and was honestly there through the whole process. She felt like family and we can not thank her enough.”
The seamless flow of the day reflected that partnership, allowing Dominique and Kendall to be fully present for every meaningful moment.
