Wed Society | Charlotte 2026 Cover Wedding

There could not be a more fitting celebration to grace the cover of the first Wed Society Charlotte Book of Weddings.

Haley and Mark married at Duke Mansion in Charlotte, North Carolina, surrounded by soft blush tones, delicate florals, classic details, and the people who had traveled from across the country to celebrate alongside them. Their November wedding felt distinctly Charlotte, while still carrying the polished style and thoughtful details that made the day completely their own.

A Wedding That Brought Everyone to Charlotte

Charlotte was more than the setting for Haley and Mark’s wedding. It was an important part of why they chose to celebrate here.

The couple originally moved from New York City when Mark attended business school at Chapel Hill before eventually making Charlotte home. With family and friends spread across Boston, Virginia, New York, California, and beyond, their wedding became an opportunity to welcome the people they love into the city where they are building their life together.

As Haley shared, having their favorite people gathered in the place where they are “putting down roots and starting our family” made the weekend especially meaningful.

A Soft and Feminine Take on Classic Style

The design embraced romantic shades of blush, ivory, soft green, and warm neutrals throughout the celebration.

Haley’s bridal look set the tone with a sculptural strapless gown featuring a gathered bodice and full skirt. Crystal detailed Jimmy Choo heels added just the right amount of sparkle, while her bridesmaids wore an assortment of blush and floral dresses that gave the bridal party a beautifully collected feel.

The look carried into the smallest details, from the floral stationery suite to the delicate place settings and escort display.

Duke Mansion Dressed for the Occasion

The historic Duke Mansion provided a striking backdrop for every part of the day. Haley and Mark exchanged vows outdoors before celebrating beneath a softly draped tent filled with chandeliers, candlelight, and layers of romantic florals.

Curated Events Charlotte helped shape the reception with rentals that complemented the setting rather than competing with it. Gold chairs, patterned linens, woven chargers, glass candleholders, and warm neutral textures created a space that felt polished while still inviting.

As evening arrived, glowing candlelight transformed the tables and brought an entirely new atmosphere to the celebration.

From Classic Portraits to the Dance Floor

Casey Hendrickson Photography captured the full range of the day, from quiet bridal portraits inside Duke Mansion and colorful garden photographs to the energy that took over once the party began.

The contrast feels especially fitting for Haley and Mark’s celebration. Refined portraits and carefully considered details eventually gave way to raised glasses, a packed dance floor, and a champagne filled ending.

A four tiered cake by Marianne Tayloe Cakes continued the understated aesthetic, surrounded by soft florals against Duke Mansion’s recognizable black and white floors.

Beyond the Cover

Haley and Mark’s wedding was selected as the cover of the inaugural Wed Society Charlotte Book of Weddings, but the cover captures only one moment from a celebration filled with them.

From welcoming loved ones to their new hometown to a design that felt beautifully at home within Duke Mansion, their wedding represents so much of what the Book of Weddings was created to celebrate: remarkable Charlotte weddings, the couples behind them, and the talented local professionals who bring each celebration to life.

Now, it is time to go beyond the cover.
