Vows That Wow | Courtney & Hunter
From sage green bridesmaid dresses to delicate floral baskets and a lakeside ceremony, Courtney and Hunter’s May wedding at Sunset Ridge Estate in Monroe, North Carolina, was filled with thoughtful details and personal touches.
Inspired by European gardens and organic modern design, their celebration featured natural textures, lush greenery, and one unforgettable surprise for their guests.
A Wedding Day Eight Months in the Making
Courtney and Hunter had a secret worth keeping.
Eight months before their May 16 celebration, the couple had already eloped in Switzerland. They kept their marriage a secret until their wedding ceremony, giving their family and friends a surprise they would never forget.
Their celebration at Sunset Ridge Estate was an opportunity to share their marriage with the people who mattered most, surrounded by a setting that reflected their personal style.
European Garden Style with an Organic Touch
The wedding’s design centered around a fresh palette of ivory, sage, and deep green.
Courtney wore a strapless gown with a structured bodice and full skirt, while her bridesmaids embraced coordinating shades of green in floral and textured dresses. White parasols, woven floral baskets, and loose garden inspired bouquets completed the look.
At the ceremony, white columns adorned with greenery and flowers framed the water, creating a beautiful backdrop for the couple’s celebration.
The Details That Made It Personal
For Courtney, the smallest details often carried the most meaning.
One of the couple’s most memorable additions was their “The Love That Built Us” wall by SIPS Rentals , a collection of framed photographs featuring their family and friends. Guests could find their own wedding portraits and favorite memories displayed alongside the couple’s.
“The details matter! Even to your guests!” Courtney shared.
The personal touches continued throughout the celebration, from the custom seating display featuring miniature luggage tags to the signature cocktail signage, personalized details, and carefully styled reception tables.
A Reception Filled with Texture and Style
Inside Sunset Ridge Estate’s light filled reception space, woven pendant lights, dark wood chairs, soft green linens, and fresh white florals brought the European garden inspiration indoors.
SIPS Rentals and Curated Events Charlotte contributed to the celebration’s layered design through decor and rental elements.
Outside, The Wishing Well added another beautiful gathering space with a white mobile bar, signature cocktail display, and floral accents beneath a fringed umbrella.
The result was a celebration that felt polished without losing its relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.
A Dance Floor Worth Remembering
While the design was beautiful, Courtney and Hunter’s favorite memory came after the formalities ended.
“The dance floor! We danced the night away!” Courtney recalled.
According to the bride, the couple barely left the dance floor once it opened, with their guests joining them for a night everyone would continue talking about.
From their secret Swiss elopement to the personal photographs honoring their loved ones, Courtney and Hunter created a wedding that celebrated not just their marriage, but the people who helped shape their story.
